HSB’s launch programme is a 2-year fully residential MBA with specialisation in Product Management. The first of its kind in the country, this programme is a synthesis of high-in-demand courses spanning design, technology and business. HSB has been set up under the aegis of JKLU, an initiative of J K Lakshmipat Singhania Education Foundation. Late Lala Lakshmipat Singhania, a key architect of J K Organisation, made JKO one of India’s most respected nation builders for over 130 years. HSB is committed to JKLU’s abiding values:

Padma Bhushan, Late Shri Hari Shankar Singhania’s professional life is a testimony to this visionary credo. Perceiving the linkages between a nation’s economic development and productive employment of well educated youth, he focussed on quality education in general, and management education in particular. IIM Lucknow pole vaulted to a leadership position during his 15 years (1992-2007) as the Chairman, Board of Governors.
Recognised widely as one of the long serving doyens of Indian industry, he successfully transitioned the J K Organisation from the Licence Raj to the Open Economy as its President, provided momentum to nation’s economic development while leading Indian Institutions, and demonstrated a global vision as President, International Chamber of Commerce, Paris, an honour accorded to only three Indians thus far. His enduring belief in the supremacy of purpose over profit was reflected in his support of numerous community centric philanthropic initiatives.
HSB has been crafted by the JK Organisation to honour his passion for globally relevant and futuristic management education which could drive holistic development in the digital world.
The University’s Board of Management, which governs HSB, defines and fosters a vision and mission that echoes the philosophy of the founding members of JKLU. Distinguished scholars, industry stalwarts, and corporate leaders constitute the management Board and play a crucial role in what we have come to be known for.
The Founding cohort at HSB will be guided by an exclusive set of mentors composed of leading product leaders and other top tech executives and professionals, hailing from large MNCs and well-funded start-ups working with cutting-edge technologies. Along with the promoters in HSB’s Governing Council, the Product Management Mentors & Advocates at HSB serve as a conduit to industry – continuously updating and improving our program through regular, ongoing dialogues.
